It’s that time of year when many of our students are in great transition. Some of them have been finishing up with a high school career of sports, musicals, proms, AP tests, and the unknown of leaving home for the first time. Some of them are on the verge of finishing up a college career that has taken them from their teenage years into their early twenties, working on a degree that they hope to carry them into a career of their choice.

Yes, our high school Seniors and college Seniors are in a time of transition.  They have worked hard and checked all the blocks in the educational process. Countless hours and dollars have been spent to ensure the final result: graduation! And of course, our purpose as MOCA moms focuses on all of these aspects of our students’ lives through the venue of prayer.

Whether your high school Senior is continuing formal education, going straight to full-time employment, joining the armed forces, or seeking other options, they’ve deserved our applause for completing the 12th grade. There are many studies available about those considered “Millennials,” and our Seniors fit into this category. The use of social media is an every day part of their lives, and their world as a young adult is sure to look different from previous generations. They are likely to have questions about their futures and may wonder how they will blend their newly acquired degrees or skills into the workforce.

One thing that is constant as MOCA moms: we love our students dearly, and we pray for them continuously.

Congratulations, Class of 2015!

We echo the words of Jeremiah 29:11 when we say…

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to give you hope and a future.”
