Forgiveness is hard- it just is. When an offense takes place, we want justice but to leave that justice in the hands of an invisible God can be challenging. If we can begin to grasp the justice that has been served on our behalf, we can begin to release our hold on seeking our own retribution. The resulting benefits are truly worth the risk.

God’s grace is consistent and dependable and is absolutely unrelated to our consistency or dependability. On our best days and on our worst, His grace is there to supply what we lack. His great heart is ever-inclined toward us. This lesson explores the definition of grace, especially what it looks like in our everyday lives. It is vital for us, as Christians, to truly know and believe who we are in Christ. We may often remind and encourage others of who Christ created them to be, but it’s harder to apply these truths to ourselves- it’s time to change that mentality based on the truth of who we are in Him. This workshop serves as a reminder, or possibly a first-time realization, that we are more than who we believe ourselves to be when we belong to Christ.

The “lens” we use to view the world around us is essential to our understanding of the truth, which impacts the characteristics and quality of our leadership. How leaders view the people they are leading, the issues they encounter, and their motives for leading are defined by which lens they use. For a gospel-centered leader, their lens is the gospel- the truth of the Word of God. Bringing clarity and visibility to the leader’s view, which in turn impacts their understanding of the world around them and their response to it. The truth found in God’s Word is the foundation of a thriving leader.
