From the beginning, our MOCA group has made the point of claiming it’s a grass-roots, no-program prayer meeting. Over the past several weeks, however, it’s become evident that this group of like-minded moms is flourishing not just in the times of prayer but also in the joyful fellowship shared. So today besides the regular coffee and prayer time, we also shared a brunch meal together around the table. New ladies keep moving into the community, many who have left college kids stateside. Some of us have been here a few years. All have the need to connect with other moms in this season of parenting young adults and praying for the many needs and decisions that our students face. So today’s time together brought us to the throne of grace for prayer plus time around the fellowship table as we shared some breakfast treats.

We’ve discovered that it’s not just about praying for our kids…but with this group, we’ve found a way to meet a need that we all have as we pray our kids through these transitional years.

If you are a mother of a college-age student, begin praying about how you can gather with other MOCA moms and form your own group in which to pray for these young adults.

MOCA. More powerful than a good cup of coffee.
